1.What is the make and model of the computer?

2.Which security software is installed?

3.Is the issue confined to this device?

4.Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

If the device has a FailReasonString value in its hardware key, that string is displayed as the error message. The driver or enumerator puts this registry string value there. If there is no FailReasonString in the hardware key, you receive the following error message: This device cannot start. (Code 10).

Method 1.

Connect the device, run the hardware and devices troubleshooter and check if that helps.
